DPA (Data Processing Agreement)

Explained

What is a DPA?

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is a standard GDPR document that explains how customer data is handled safely when a third-party service is involved.

Under GDPR:

- You remain the Data Controller (you decide why customers are contacted)

- LocalGrowth acts as your Data Processor (we only process data on your instructions)

Why do I need a DPA?

A DPA is required whenever a service provider processes personal data on your behalf.

It:

- Confirms GDPR compliance

- Protects both parties

- Clearly defines responsibilities

- Is a legal requirement under GDPR (Article 28)

What data does the DPA cover?

Only basic customer information, such as:

- Name

- Email address

- Phone number

- Feedback or review content

No sensitive or medical data is processed.

What does LocalGrowth do with the data?

LocalGrowth uses customer data only to:

- Send feedback requests after a recent service

- Collect customer feedback

- Invite customers to leave reviews (e.g. on Google Reviews)

- Share private feedback with you

- Respond to public reviews on your behalf

We never sell, reuse or market to your customers.
